  2. Community • A collection of individuals with a common or similar set of interests and needs • Examples: • Gym members at GoodLife • Pregnant woman at various stages of pregnancy • Night shift workers

  3. Need A lack of something necessary, desirable, oruseful which will significantly improve one’s quality of life Examples: • Food/Water/Shelter • Self-actualization, respect

  4. Quality of Life Personal satisfaction with the conditions under which one lives, ease of one’s day to day struggles Examples: • Wealth • Health • Convenience

  5. Pregnant Women • constantly plagued by numerous discomforts and inconveniences • many problems, habitual, biological or physical can be addressed • their quality of life can be greatly improved • PROJECT: we are searching for a need that we can solve with a technical solution to improve quality of life

  6. Sub-communities • We split up the pregnant community by the stage of their pregnancy and by their age • We thought that the various stages of pregnancy and various age groups can result in different discomforts

  7. Possible Needs General: • Nutrition • Protection from exposure: air pollution, chemicals, etc. • Physical activity/wellness • Comfort • Overall health Third Trimester: • Time of labour • Transportation Teenagers: • Money • School/Education
