First Federal Savings Bank has awarded Morningside a generous grant of $2,106.00 to purchase 2 RedCat hearing systems for our hearing impaired students. Thank you First Federal!! The Albertson’s Foundation has chosen Morningside as one of 42 schools in the state to receive a $1000.00 gift from the Foundation funded through their Boise Open Golf Tournament. tournament to raise money. Thank you Albertson’s Foundation! Thanks to Tammy Perry for all of her work with the PTA Project Christmas Giveaway, Birthday Club, and Spirit Day. Thanks to everyone who helped with classroom Christmas parties! Greetings from Morningside Elementary, Welcome back! We hope you had a fantastic holiday break. Watch for the “Giving Back Week“ flyer that will help us give back to the community in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. There will be opportunities to donate: children’s sweatpants, underwear (still in new packaging) and school supplies that would satisfy needs in our community and school. We will celebrate “Giving Back Week” the third week full week in January. February will feature the Science Fair/Invention Convention. More information will be coming home soon on this fun event. A big THANK YOU to everyone who brought non-perishable food for the food drive. It will help feed needy families throughout the year. We collected about 325 pounds of food through your generosity. We would love to see everyone at the PTA meeting on the 9th. It is at 7:00 in the Morningside library and all Morningside parents are invited to attend.
