Learning communication skills • The goal of this module is to explore interpersonal communication models and to participate in some introductory communication skills exercises. • We will focus on important types of verbal and non verbal communication in tourism sector.
After participating in this module students/pupils should be able to: • understand what is verbal and non verbal communication • understand what are important communication skills and why • evaluate their communication skills • understand how to improve their communication skills through group and individual exercise • learn how to introduce themselves, make a presentation and give a public speech • understand that teaching communication skills is a life-long process • understand today’s communication has many levels

Learning about event organization • In this module, we focus on organizational skills in different aspects of event management in tourism • After successfully participated in the module, pupils should be able to: • Understand the process of organizing an event from the idea to the realization. • Broadly define the difference and meaning of event management and event marketing. • Identify the need for events as a part of the tourist offer in a destination. • Understand the importance of promoting an event, and realize that there are many clever i.e. not expensive ways of promoting events.
