Prev Menu What are Indexes? • An index is an archive of online journals or articles. • Allows you to search through abstracts, authors or titles to find an article that suits your needs. • UOIT students allowed to use UOIT’s index subscriptions

Prev Menu Next Finding Books • Library’s advanced search • Can search according to keywords, author, title, subject area, or periodical title.

Prev Menu Next Find Articles by Subject Area • A list of all the subject areas available. • Selecting the subject area you want will give you a list of indexes you can obtain articles from • Select Education

Prev Menu Next Find Articles by Subject Area • The major indexes will allow you search through their articles for ones that are of interest to you. Click here
Prev Menu Next Find Articles by Subject Area • Choosing an index will take you to their search engine to find articles • Each index’s search is different.
Prev Menu Next Find Articles by Citations • If you know both the article title AND journal title • Enter it into the search fields Enter exact article title Enter journal title Click to Search

Prev Menu Next Find Articles by Citations • If the full text is available, click to get the full text: • Choose a location to download from.

Prev Menu Next Find Articles by Citations • Note that different indexes have different methods of downloading the article. • You will have to browse a little to find the “download article” link for each index.
Prev Menu Next Browsing Magazines/Journals • Magazines/Journals/Newspapers are listed in alphabetical order. • Select an alphabet will allow you to browse through the subscriptions that UOIT has to offer.
