Enhanced QC Measurements & FINE Upgrades 2019 Built on 40+ years loudspeaker experience

Built on over 40 years of loudspeaker experience, LOUDSOFT's President, Peter Larsen, shares why LOUDSOFT is successful. Their enhanced QC measurements include power/displacement of drivers, FINE QC software for anechoic measurements, and industry-leading Rub & Buzz testing. The FINEBuzz algorithm identifies impulsive noise, achieving fine correlation with listening tests. New features in FINE Motor, Box, DSP, and X-over are highlighted, offering improved voice coil technology, sensitivity calculations, and drive voltage curves. Microphone testing capabilities and hardware specifications are detailed. LOUDSOFT's FINE QC boasts industry-first features, automatic test statistics, and acoustic pair matching. Key industry players include brands like Bang & Olufsen, Harman, Philips, and more.

  1. Enhanced QC Measurements & FINE Upgrades 2019 Built on 40+ years loudspeaker experience Peter Larsen President of LOUDSOFT

  2. Why is LOUDSOFT so successful? Because we are Loudspeaker Engineers and use our own Tools every day!

  3. Power / Displacement of drivers

  4. QCX – SPL, Fs, THD and Rub & Buzz

  5. Anechoic measurements are done in a normal room or Test Box. The reflections from walls and ceiling will be excluded by the FINE QC software.

  6. Best Rub & Buzz measurements in the Industry 2019 “See What You Hear”

  7. Rub & Buzz testing in FINE QC Danish F. Leonhard derived in 1993 a new auditory model how the human ear perceives sound. The FINEBuzz detection method was introduced in 2008 using an improved algorithm that finds all the annoying sounds, which cannot be detected by THD or IM. Loudspeakers with Rub and Buzz have high irregular noise distortion. The enhanced 3rd generation FINEBuzz algorithm finds all impulsive noise in the signal using very advanced High Pass filtering. These signals are often 80-110 dB below test signal. FINEQC measures Rub & Buzz with very fine correlation with listening tests. See paper ISEAT : Fast Rub & Buzz Testing, Peter Larsen

  8. QCX: 4 Microphone inputs

  9. FINE QCX Amplifier (High-V) Test X-over Test

  10. Automatic finding of Fs from impedance

  11. Example of Good speaker with acceptable Rub & Buzz

  12. Example of same speaker with un-acceptable Rub & Buzz

  13. Asynchronous / Open Loop Testing: Playing Wave-file on iPhone or Car Audio, Read wav into FINE QC

  14. FINEQC  / Headphone / Headset Fast Testing: Left +Right < 2.5s

  15. FINE QCX Automation with Failure type Sorting

  16. Why did we make your own Test system? I used MLSSA for many years. When outdated, I decided to develop my own system, adding all the features I was missing. FINE QC and FINE R+D)) are the results
