Sharks In Captivity: • Most sharks die 1 yr. after put in captivity. • The captivity conservations help researchers learn more about sharks • Scientists transform the shark’s habitat to the conservations to make shark’s feel at home • Captivity conservations are expensive(pounds of food, bringing saltwater to the conservations ,ect.
Stress of Captivity • The shark’s emotions react to the new environments of the conservations • They have migration patterns in their normal habitats, but it changes in the conservations because of less space • Experts think it is the high-level of intelligence that makes them aggravated
Captivity Conservations • It’s challenging to keep sharks in captivity because of their emotions • You would think captivity conservations are bad, but there actually good. • Captivity(captured or held) – Conservations( to protect) • Conservations take in sharks with critical conditions – help them recover- return them to the wild
Different Behaviors of Animals in Captivity • Sharks have a very keen sense of smell , but in captivity, that is very much effected • The larger the species of shark, the less likely it is to survive • Example, if you keep a whale shark in captivity for a long time, then it is very possible it will die…. • They have different emotions in captivity than they did in the wild
