  5. Activities • Commemorative mail stamp launched on December 13th 2000. • Training courses to representatives of volunteers organizations on“Prevention against disasters” and “Train the Trainer”. Ecuador National Executive Committee

  8. Legislation proposal • National Congress is presented with a legislation proposal of for volunteers on December 2000. • It will take more than a year to have an approved Volunteers Law once all suggestions have been gathered. Ecuador National Executive Committee

Media Resources • National Committee produced 3 TV Commercials. • Ecuadorian Radio Association (AER) transmitted 2 important messages in more than seventy stations nation wide. • Municipalities of 5 cities placed street billboards to promote the celebration.
