Background • The WGCD seeks to contribute to the emerging Euro-Atlantic area’s defence education by fostering a network on cooperative curricula development among the numerous training institutions • The WGCD is a platform of discussion and exchange on specific issues related to the methodology and improvement of teaching and education • With the ADL Working Group, it forms a pillar to enhance training and education within the Partnership for Peace Consortium
Definable Goals Objectives of WGCD • Granting easy access to existing courses on security and international relations • Encouraging competencies for courses and other training activities • Promoting excellence in curriculum development • Ensuring a diversity of views on teaching and curricula development in defense and security studies • Fostering civil-military relations

Collaboration with ADL Working Group on e-learning and course development • Participation in other networks on Training and Education, such as NATO/PfP Benchmarking • Other issues, such as Faculty Developement and Fact Finding Project on exchange of students Quality Control/Recognition to exchange views on course development
