Star Student! • Each week a new student from our class will be our “Star.” Please look for the information regarding our Star Student to come home the Friday before your child’s turn. • Star Students are encouraged to bring in pictures to share throughout the week, as well as bring in “Show and Tell” items for Friday’s celebration.
Projects/ Minute to Win It • Students will have 4 Book Projects this year. These four books will be read by the students outside of our instructional time. They will be given adequate time to work on these (3-4 weeks)…but will need to manage their time wisely. • Minute to Win It • Our class will participate in several activities from the show ( on Fun Friday’s). Sometimes this activity is open to the whole class or small groups, however other times it will depend on points and/or behavior.
Your child will now give you a tour of Room 86. Remember to check and see what is hanging in the hallway. Please enjoy exploring our classroom and feel free to ask any questions during this time. Leave completed permission slips and conference time preferences on your child’s desk. Thank you for coming, and for supporting the work that we do each and every day. I look forward to working with you this year!
