  1. How to Use the Natural Minor Scale The following is a 3-chord progression in the key of C Natural Minor. The 3 chords are the common chords of the key, the i – iv – v7 or Cm – Fm – Gm7. Since these 3 chords are built from the natural minor scale, any note from the natural minor scale should fit.Try using any of the 4-fret or 5-fret shapes over this progression.
