Shapes – The Blue Dog Objectives: Use shape, line, form, and color to create an abstract dog.

The Blue Dog by George Rodrigue • Story was based on a myth (make believe story) • Creature was werewolf like • Cajun ghost stories • Pale blue with red eyes under a blue night sky • Over time he changed the eyes to the color yellow • Gradually over time the dog became bluer and the paintings became more abstract
Step 2-Choose the color you would like your dog to be and begin coloring. Leave negative space in rain drop and around eyes!
Step 3-Follow the contour of your dog to with thicker lines to shade in your entire dog.
Step 4-Use yellow to shade in the eye. Using black, begin to add shadows around the eyes and in the ears.
Step 9- Using a white work on your nose shape. When finished use black to add the nose and mouth.
Step 10-Repeat the step to complete on or two more dogs on your art.
