Return Materials How/Where to return materials to you
Administration Prior to Testing • You will receive the Directions for Administration the day prior to testing as the DFA is secure because it contains test questions that are dictated to students • Familiarize yourself with the script • Be sure you have an adequate supply of required materials (ex. Tests, markers, ruler for gr. 1 & 2, No. 2 pencils, scrap paper if using for math etc.)
Administration During Testing • Read the script in bold type verbatim to students • If necessary, you may supplement the directions with your own explanations, as long as you don’t give help on a specific question • Directions say to pause about 10 seconds between questions, but that will be totally up to the teacher and how the students are progressing • If you make a mistake during directions or reading the question, stop and say, “No, that is wrong. Listen again.” • You and your proctor if you have one, can check to make sure students are answering in the proper area • Students can be told to erase stray marks or to be sure to choose only one answer
Administration After Testing • Your school’s plan for after testing each day
