We will continue to improve and build upon what we have – so your input is valuable!! • Create a Social Network (virtual community) • Enhance P+ Tool (and other reporting systems) • Streamline Data Submission Process • Integration with Special Education database • Integration of Foster and Juvenile Justice data • Deliver P+ Training • Assist with Local Evaluation Systems • Develop Early Warning System • Identify College Readiness Information
Professional Development & Support We are moving forward with professional development tools – to lead our implementations. Professional development is critical!!! Data Use It’s all about the STUDENTS!!!
What Drives the Data Environment… Data systems must be able to address multiple perspectives and multiple levels of competency: The teacher’s perspective, the administrator’s perspective, the specialist, the district, the policy maker, the researcher, reporting requirements, etc.
Collecting & Using Data Our efforts began with the collection of data with an end goal consistently focused on the use of data. i4see Data CollectionUsing Data Note: Pictures are from clipart.
The breadth of data tools Access Education Data from the DOE home page (view the library books icon on the left panel (www.education.nh.gov).
District profiles (public data) District Profiles provide aggregate data available to the public.
Performance plus: Student Level Data PerformancePLUS provides secure student level data to the teachers and educators.
Longitudinal reports Longitudinal Reports provide easy access to predefined aggregate reports.
Data Collection and Reports Aggregate spreadsheets of data available to the public.
NARS (Detailed NECAP Reports) Secure student level NECAP data available to districts, maintained by Measured Progress.
“Growth model” Based upon the Colorado Growth model, aggregate school level NECAP growth data.

Predefined Reports There are five predefined reports for each school/district.
Grade Comparison Over Time How do the results of each grade compare to one another over time?
Compare Subgroups For example, how do students with an IEP compare to students without?
Cohort Comparison Current grade 7 Cohort history compared to Grade 7 cohort history for state.
A Closer Look – New P+ Reporting Engine Longitudinal reports provide quick and easy access to extensive aggregate trends. PerformancePLUS provides detailed student level access to custom reports and detailed student learning. • Longitudinal Reports • Performance PLUS
Performance plus: Breadth and Depth P+ Enables multiple assessments, creation of local assessments, detailed analysis of student progress, history over time, extensive student attributes (e.g. 21st Century, CaTE, Attendance, College Enrollment, Assessments, SAT, course schedule, etc.).
How are districts using P+…. P+ provide three separate modules. It includes much more than data reports. Drill Down Reports Create dynamic report and drill down to the student level detail.
Student Level Detail View student progress over years of instruction.
Consider Results by Standard View proficiency by standard across multiple assessments (e.g. NECAP and NWEA).
Consider Results by Item Understand what released items students are having difficulty completing.
Student Roster Create a student roster for a teacher – to display multiple assessments and student growth data!
Any 2 Scatter Plot Consider for example how students proficiency levels changed from 6th to 7th grade.
P+ Next Steps There are items currently and progress and some potentials that are being considered.
