Aims and scope of EJN • EJN aims to advance our understanding of organization and function of the nervous system in health and disease, thereby to improve diagnosis and treatment of brain disorders. • Manuscripts submitted to EJN should describe novel experimental results that were guided by clearly defined aims or hypotheses. • EJN is divided into five sections: • Molecular and developmental; Synaptic mechanisms; Neurosystems; Behavioral neuroscience; Cognitive neuroscience • EJN publishes review articles and technical spotlights, as well as Special Issues and Special features focusing on a specific topic.
Significance of EJN for FENS • EJN is co-owned by FENS and its publisher Wiley-Blackwell • EJN is the official journal of FENS, which represents a vibrant community of >16’000 scientists across Europe and across all areas of Neuroscience • EJN contributes to support FENS major activities (schools, featured meetings, awards, job market, etc)
