Provider Gateway • 1. Secure web portal for sharing data and documents between Providers, the Inspectorate and the LSC. • 2. Single source of data and documents related to quality improvement and institutional accountability (e.g. Self Assessment Reports).
Provider GatewayBenefits • Reduce bureaucracy: data collected once and used many times and documents held in one place. • Immediate access to up-to-date documents and information. • Once a document is uploaded, it is available to all parties. • Providers cannot access each other’s information, Inspectorate and the LSC have access to all content – secure.
Provider GatewayContent: • Learner Achievement Tracker (LAT) for Value Added and Distance Travelled data for 16-18 year old learners. • Framework for Excellence Results
Provider GatewayContent: • Document Exchange for provider information, for example: • Provider Briefing – from LSC • Post-Monitoring Visit Letter – from Ofsted • PPR (Provider Performance Report) – from Ofsted • Qualification Success Rates – from LSC • SAR – from Provider • Minimum Level of Performance Reports – from LSC
Provider GatewayAccess: • https://gateway.lsc.gov.uk/ProviderGateway/ • User Approver in each organisation. (Usually the person who uses LSC data collection portal – e.g. Data/MI Manager).
Qualification Success Rates (QSR) Train to Gain Success Rate: Cohort: Learners who had an expected end date in the year being measured (regardless of whether they left in earlier years). For example, Your QSR report for 07/08 on the Provider Gateway includes those learners who had a planned end date in 0708. Note: any who leave after their expected end year, their success (or not) will get credited against the year in which they were expected to leave and achieve, rather than the year in which they actually left.
Qualification Success Rates (QSR) Why is this important? Minimum Level of Performance (MLP) likely to be enforced at 65%, based on 2008/09 performance.
Qualification Success Rates (QSR) • What you should do? • Ensure that learners achieve in the correct year. • Prioritise those whose end date is in 2008/09 to achieve before 31st July 09.
