Even if they don’t say it back or act embarrassed as teenagers often due. Do it anyway. Tell jokes, be humorous, look for the humor in things that could be stressful. Just make sure your child never thinks you are laughing at them.
Continued-Helping Your Child with Homework and Making it Fun • 1. Buy a Nerf ball or any soft type of ball. As you review content, toss the ball to your child. The child must catch the ball and then give you the answer to the question you asked. This is a great way to study math facts. • 2. Find an old game board like Candy Land, with a starting point and an ending point. Make the game cards according to what content is being studied. Then play against your child. You roll the dice move your piece and answer the content questions. • 3. Have your child play Concentration by making 15 matched pair of vocabulary cards and their definitions. When the cards are made, your child will spread the words and the definitions out and try to match them. You can take turns with your child to make it more fun.
