“Dooars” the word is derived from the word ‘duar’ or ‘door’. The name signifies its location as a gateway to the hill stations of North Bengal and Sikkim as well as Bhutan and Assam. The 130 X 40 sq.km stretched Dooars valley, an important travel destination of Eastern Himalaya, is covered with lush green forests and teagardens and intersected by the rivers like Tista, Torsha, Jaldhaka & their innumerable tributaries. It is the home to one-horned Rhino, Gaur and many other rare species. A tour or a safari through these forests of Dooars will be a life time experience.

Jungle of Dooars Gorumara National Park is the home of large numbers of Rhino, Bison, Elephant and other wildlife. Jaldapara Wild Life Sanctuary is famous for its one horned rhino and the elephant safari. Buxa Tiger Reserve (BTR) lies in Alipurduar district of West Bengal. Its northern boundary runs along the international border with Bhutan. The Sinchula hill range lies all along the northern side of BTR and the Eastern boundary touches that of the Assam State.
Land development works have been started. This cottage is projected to be built beside Jayanti River and opposite to BUXA range which is the northern part of West Bengal.
