GOD’S LOVE IN SALVATION • “For God” = A DIVINE LOVE -Only our Divine God has ever loved us this much (Romans 5:6-11) • “the world” = A GREAT LOVE -The extent of God’s love, makes it a great love (Eph. 2:4-7) • “He gave” = A REAL LOVE -Love in word, is different from love in deed (I John 3:16-18)
GOD’S GIFT IN SALVATION • “His only” = A LIBERAL GIFT -God gave a willing sacrifice on the cross for sin (Rom. 5:14-19) • “Son” = A TRUE GIFT -God gave the best when He gave His Son, Jesus Christ (Jam. 1:17; Jn. 6:38; Heb. 10:4-14) • “whoever” = AN INCLUSIVE GIFT -God gave His Son for saving all mankind (Jn. 3:17; II Cor. 5:14-21)
GOD’S PURPOSE IN SALVATION • “should not perish” =A GOOD PURPOSE -God can save us from perishing in giving His Son (II Peter 3:9-13) • “have everlasting life” =A LASTING PURPOSE -Because of God we can have eternal life in Jesus Christ (I John 5:11-13)
GOD’S WAY IN SALVATION • “whoever” =AN OPEN WAY -Again, God wants all people to be saved (I Tim 2:3-7) • “believes” =A TRUSTING WAY -We must trust in Jesus with an obedient faith (Luke 6:46; Heb 5:9; John 3:36)
