  5. What else can I learn in “Shop class” • How to weld • How to do car repairs and Maintenance • How to use many types of power tools • How to measure and cut wood and metal • How to plan and design projects • How to read schematics and blueprints • How to save lots of money.

What if I Do go to University • You will learn skills you can use for a lifetime • Eye and hand coordination skills • How to “talk the talk” with trades people • Know if something “really does need to be fixed” • Fix your own stuff and Save your Money • Use your “shop class” skills to make the money to go to University

More benefits to taking “Shop’ • We all need variety in our Education • Take a mental break and use your hands • Exercise is divided by upper and lower body • Learning should also be divided for balance • Working together with others and in groups • Sharing and co-worker safety is learned • “Pressure relief” from academic learning
