  2. What is a switchboard? • Allows users to access any form, table or report by clicking a button only. • When the database opens, buttons appear to help you choose tasks to perform.

  3. How do I get started creating a switchboard? • Must create macros first. • What’s a macro? • A collection of actions that will perform specific tasks. • Open a table • Open a form, etc. • Macro automates tasks.

  4. Planning a Switchboard • First decide when it would be helpful to automate tasks using a macro. • Is a switchboard needed? • Makes it easy for other people to use database • If no other users, maybe not. • Determine layout of the switchboard.
