“The golden rule” – treat others… • Theorist – Lawrence Kohlberg (more later) • People have to be taught right from wrong – not instinctive • Different stages of moral development: • Pre-conventional – mostly focused on outcome of behavior • Conventional – mostly focused on what’s right for society • Post-conventional – mostly focused on what’s truly right and fair for all
