  3. Why Do people celebrate Chinese New Year ? • It’s a tradition that Celebrates the fight of Nian a monster.It also celebrates the end of winter.It is also is a time for family gathering’s,honoring ancestors and thanking the gods for there blessings.

  4. What are some traditions of this Holiday? • To put up red. • To shoot firecrackers. • To make loud noises. • To eat a lot. • To get/give red envelops. • A dragon dance.

  5. Are there special decorations for this holiday? What are they? • A lot of red lanterns and gold. • Pyramids of apples and oranges and red and orange scrolls.

  6. The foods for this holiday are… • Oysters • Fish balls • Chicken • Pork • Seaweed • Lustrous root • Rice

  7. There is one special piece of clothing for this holiday. • Wearing red and dragon suits.

  8. Would I like to celebrate this holiday? e • YES. I would like to celebrate this holiday because I would like to be part of the dragon dance.
