ME4/2 Upgrade Project • Laminate production (M.C.Gill) • Finished -- 580 sheets manufactured (enough for 290 panels) • Panel production at Fermilab (thru 27 April) • 37 new panels machined: 19 anode, 18 cathode (7 per CSC) • Machining about 10/week (good match for chamber production) • Shipping 35 panels to CERN this week • Chamber assembly (B904 factory) • Factory procedures working well, technicians trained • 5 chambers assembled, tested for leaks • 3 chambers in 2-month longterm HV test • All chamber parts (except panels) at CERN or enroute to CERN • Problems with Au-plated wire breaking during winding • Traced to defective winding of spools at Luma • New spools from Luma work fine – Luma re-winding all spools
