Things we do well… • Opportunities for children to develop social and personal skills • Teachers use a range of strategies to enthuse learning and encourage good behaviour • Library provision for reading and research skills
The Enrichment Programme • Effective links with parents and the community to support children’s education • The PYP coordinator who is driving the IB programme with her thorough knowledge and understanding of the programme’s principles • The staff who are working very hard to implement the new initiatives in line with national and international expectations
Priorities… • Clear understanding of direction for school – School Improvement Plan • Policies and Procedures for consistency and accountability • Monitoring and evaluating the work of the school • Assessment informing learning and teaching and using data to raise standards of achievement
Priorities continued… • IB implementation – leading to accreditation by June 2010 • Implementation of the National Literacy and Numeracy Strategies • Implementation of the National Curriculum and new assessment procedures
