Omaha Beach Camporee Held every three years. 3,000 attended the 2011 event , which was the largest gathering of military families at one location. The next camporee will be held April 25-27, 2014.

The purpose of Direct Service is to make the Scouting program available to United States citizens and their dependents living outside the USA in countries not under the jurisdiction of the Transatlantic Council and Far East Council.

The Gamenowinink Lodge No. 555, WWW ("On the other side of the Great Sea"), is under the supervision and administration of the International Department. The lodge averages two hundred members.
