UC #1 –Ceiling Indoor LC In this use case LC transmitters are located on the ceiling of indoor environments, such as conference rooms, theatres, shopping mall and hospitals. Range: 2.5 to 10 meters, Data rate: 200 Mbps to 1Gbps 802.11 amendments for hybrid use: 802.11ax, 802.11ay and their previous versions Tuncer Baykas
UC #2–Close Proximity Indoor LC In this use case LC transmitters are located on the walls or on desklamps of an indoor environment. This use case are for secure, peer to peer communicaton. Range: 30 cm to 1 meter, Data rate: 200 Mbps to 1 Gbps 802.11 amendments for hybrid use: 802.11ax, 802.11ay and their previous versions Tuncer Baykas
UC #3–V2V LC communication In this use case LC transmitters are located on the vehichle lights to enable V2V communication. The receivers are in the front and at the back of the vehicles. UC #4– Infrastructure to Vehicle (I2V) LC communication In this use case LC transmitters are located on the traffic and street lights. The receivers are in the front and at the back of the vehicles. UC #5–Underwater LC communication In this use case LC transmitters are located underwater vehicles and buoys. This use case can be use to extend ranges of 802.11af and 802.11ah systems to underwater communication.
