Be resourceful: faculty • Resourceful = knowing what is available to you • Most Important Person (MIP): your supervisor • Meet him/her early • Go seek them and not let them chase after you • Other faculties • Make an impression, e.g., in courses • Collaborate them if you can (future reference!)
Be resourceful: grad students • Do not just make friends with your lab mates • Creativity often come from talking to people outside your field of research • Learn different cultures
Be resourceful: undergrads • Be serious about TA-ing • If you can teach, then you really understood!
