  4. 3140 –one of the 9 Pilot districts selected for Project Enhancement Process (PEP),2012-13. To strategically utilize its volunteer and staff resources to sharpen Rotary’s focus, enhance the technical quality of projects, support sound project design, make effective grants, and measure our impact in the areas of focus. Currently preparing GG application Water Management Projects

An ambulance specially designed for burns patients donated by Rotary Club of Bombay Worli. • The awareness campaign for skin donation started in 2006-07 with the help of six Rotary lead clubs • RC Bombay Worli • RC Link-town Airoli • RC Bombay Juhu Beach • RC Bombay North. • RC Deonar • RC Ghatkopar • A state-of-the-at skin bank was set-up by Rotary Club of Bombay North in association with Rotary Club of Leiden, Amsterdam in year 2009. Rs. 29.5 Lakhs thro’ MG. Contribution of Rotary to National Burns Centre, Airoli

R C of Deonar in association with N B C and Operation Smile have organized three free post-burn deformity surgery camps involving about 45 free corrective surgeries each, since past three years. • Various medical instruments were donated by different rotary clubs- 5Body Warmers, 4Pulse Oximeters, 3 Motor Bikes, 2 Dermatomes ,  1 Ventilator Contribution of Rotary to National Burns Centre, Airoli

R C of Bombay North in association with R C Bombay Juhu Beach have set-up a skin collection centre at BSES Hospital Andheri. • R C of Borivli East has set up a another skin collection centre at Bhakti Vedanta Hospital, Mira Road. • National Burns Centre in assoiciation with Rotary Club of Khadki have set up another Skin Bank at Surya Hospital at Pune. Villages / Padas electrified : 23 Homes provided with Solar Sets : 646 Street lights installed : 43 Total funding till March ,2011           : Rs. 40 lakhs Proposed during April-Jun 2011 :Homes - About 150-200 Street lights – About 15-20 Expected Funding                              :  Rs. 15 lakhs Clubs involved : 16 RCB Kandivli raised Rs. 22 Lakhs to spend for this project 1/3rd of the applications from clubs for Dist Grant funds in 2011-12 were for this project-now a GG.   10. First Solar Electrification was done by RC Thane North in 0 2006-07 at Waganpada. By now, over 1200 homes electrified Issues like transportation, maintenance & life of equipment came up Many other organizations also doing the project Most important issue being - capacity building at local level on CKD Assembly,Installation,Commissioning, trouble shooting, maintenance at local level for longterm sustainability With this in mind a new model "Saur Asha" was evolved where local Tribal Adults from Alumni of Pragati's School for hearing Impaired were inducted and trained  for assembly, supply, installation, trouble shooting and  maintenance Solar Energy Initiatives

  11. "Saur Asha" is a multi purpose model which provides-  a. Employment to local / hearing impaired youth b. Provides " by the tribal for the tribal" support on turn key basis on Assembly, Installation, Warranty / post - with Pragati providing management / co-ordination help. c. Off late it has started supplying Solar Lanterns on commercial basis and becoming self sufficient without NGO projects Based on past experience  recently, Chirag - placed order for 400 Home  lights on Controls & System - who havepassed it on to " Saur  Asha" center to be executed before 31st March 2013. This will earn them around Rs 100,000 revenue in single month.   12. Project in JawharTaluka with Districts in UK Extensive Training Of Anganwadi Workers, Increase awareness, Detection of High risk pregnancy, Proper training, to health workers. Transportation facilities,Providing infrastructure Supplementation- providing Iron , folate, calcium, proteins, Injectable Iron, sucrose. Upgradation of Blood Bank Facility& frequent arrangement of Blood Donation Maternal Mortality Reduction
