  2. EGN 1935: ECE (Ad) Ventures PresentationSummary • Team Member biographies • Robot Story • Lab Summary • Team Conclusion

  3. EGN 1935: ECE (Ad) Ventures Jervis Bisasor • 1stSemester Freshman • Before this year, I was going to be a Computer engineer, but I’ve since switched to Microbiology • This class gave me a taste of the good, fun parts of engineering. However, It showed me that it’s more of a side interest for me than something I want as my main career.

  4. EGN 1935: ECE (Ad) Ventures Jervis Bisasor Cont. • In this class, I have learned a basic understanding of electrical components such as breadboard circuits, motor functions, sound creation, and sensors. • For the future, I would like to work in Bioinformatics, which is the combination of Computer Software engineering and Microbiology, at the CDC doing research. • For future students, take tons of intro classes!

  5. EGN 1935: ECE (Ad) Ventures Charles Dennis • 1st semester Freshman • Before this semester I wanted to just major in chemical engineering • Now, I would like to major in both chemical engineering and mathematics with a minor in astronomy.

  6. EGN 1935: ECE (Ad) Ventures Charles Dennis • This class has presented me with the necessary problem-solving skills in the engineering field. • Though I am not going to major in EE, it’s still very useful in science to understand the devices that allow electrons to work. • I would like to work for a nice chemical engineering firm, but I’m really interested in doing theoretical research in chemistry, math, and astronomy.

  7. EGN 1935: ECE (Ad) Ventures Charles Dennis • The amount of classes relevant to my interests at UF is phenomenal. I’m happy to have chosen this school that conforms to my interests.

  8. EGN 1935: ECE (Ad) Ventures Domenic Luppino • I’m a first semester freshman. • I’m actually an EE major. • I also want to minor in computer science. • This class made me use problem solving skills I didn’t have to use in high school. • This course was very beneficial because it gave me a basic knowledge of a number of EE components.

  9. EGN 1935: ECE (Ad) Ventures Domenic Luppino • My goal upon graduation is to have a fun, well-paying, job lined up. • A few years later I would like to start my own company in defense contracting.

  10. EGN 1935: ECE (Ad) Ventures Robot Story • Here waits our American hero – a soldier valiantly fighting for his country in the trenches of World War II. After dodging an enemy grenade, he engages his invading opponents. • They have already taken the ammunition supply at a point he’s low on rounds. With what he has, he fights passed them with his keen combat expertise. • Finally, he eliminates the final opponent and takes back the ammunition supply. His elation brings him to sing a national hymn.

  11. EGN 1935: ECE (Ad) Ventures Lab Summary • The first several labs we were routinely one of the first groups done. • For some unknown reason once we incorporated the light sensor everything started to go wacky.

  12. EGN 1935: ECE (Ad) Ventures Team Conclusions • Mathematica is a very valuable resource. • We learned a rough idea of EE. • Taking intro classes is critical. • Be ready to use problem solving skills from day one in college.
