None can find a secular and a free nation like india with such a strong Historical and a commanding background..thats INCREDIBLE INDIA for u !!!

Incredible India Incredible is something unbelievable...too good to be true. India has an amazing variety in terms of cultures, traditions, clothes, people, religion, languages, vegetation, population, landforms, soil colours, cuisine, musical instruments, vocal music, dances. And yet there's unity in so much diversity. Three oceans meet at the Southern tip of India, on the North are the beautiful snowy mountains, and in between there are gorgeous hill stations, plateaus, plains, tropical forests, flowing rivers, pastures, farms, tiny towns and attractive cities. India also starts with the word "I and N" as in Incredible !!
Incredible India : INTRODUCTION • India is a country of diversities. • It is located in South Asia. • It is the seventh largest nation in the world and the second largest by population with over 1.2 billion people. • India is also the world’s largest democracy. It has 5000 year old civilization and has one of the world’s oldest heritages. • There are about 325 languages and 1625 dialects. • India has 18 official languages.
HISTORY Indus Valley Civilization – One of the world’s first great urban civilizations. World’s first university – Takshila 700 B.C. Sanskrit Language – most suitable for computer software. Yoga was made in India around 5000 B.C. India got Independence on August 15th, 1947. India became a republic nation on January 26th, 1950.
GEOGRAPHY Location : Southern Asia India is bordered by 9 neighbouring countries : Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, and Srilanka. India is also surrounded by the Bay of Bengal on the right and The Arabian sea on the left. The Indian Ocean is on the south of the Indian Sub-continent. India has a total of 29 states and 7 union territories. There are Seven major rivers along with their numerous tributaries which make up the river system in India.
CULTURE & TRADITION India is a secular country as stated in its Constitution. There is freedom of worship throughout the length and breadth of India without any breeches or violations of any other’s religious beliefs. The Hindus, The Muslims, The Christians, and The Sikhs in times of calamity and during festivities come openly together to share their thoughts despite their religious affinities.
Glory of India India has never invaded any country in her last 10,000 years of history.India invented the number system. Zero was invented by Aryabhatta. Ayurveda is the earliest system of medicine known to humans. Calculus was originated in India. The ‘place value system’ and the ‘decimal system’ were developed in 100 B.C. The value of “Pi” and “Pythagorean Theorem” were first calculated by the Indian Mathematician Budhayana.
FOOD Food, gorgeous food... We hear some very old saying “The way to a man's heart is through his stomach” and “An army marches on its stomach” and so many other one liners that all centre around one of life's necessities - FOOD. Indian food- beginning with "curry"- has taken the world by storm, and today there's an Indian restaurant in most parts of the world. The non-vegetarian side of Indian cuisines comprises of many juicy, tender, mouth watering delicacies made with eggs, chicken, fish, red meat etc. Vegetables are an integral part of our Indian food recipes and we consume them in a number of ways. For pure vegetarians, India is a heaven.
WILDLIFE India's wildlife is both rich and varied. More than 4% of India's land is under forest cover. There are around 90 national parks and 482 wildlife sanctuaries. The country is one of the 12 mega diversity areas in the world, in terms of animal. The varied landscape and diverse flora and fauna is simply cannot be missed by a wildlife enthusiast. One can witness different species of tigers, Asian elephants, Asiatic lions, rhinoceros, leopards, wild boars, and reptiles like chameleon, tortoise, water monitor, gharial etc in Indian forests.

The Navy Blue wheel denotes the continuity of the nation’s progress which is deemed to be as boundless as the blue sky and as fathomless as the deep blue sea.

FESTIVALS India is a land of great diversity. It described as a land of many religions and innumerable languages, it might well be described as a land of festivals as well. Indians love celebrating. Every little occasion from the harvesting of crops, welcoming the spring or rain, to seeing the full moon lends itself to joyous celebrations splashed with colors, music, folk dances and songs. Even the birthdays of divine beings are celebrated by connecting them with particular festivals. There are around 90 festivals and holidays in a calendar year. Some of them are : DIWALI – Festival of Lights HOLI – Festival of Colors EASTER CHRISTMAS, and so on.
India is the 11th largest economy in the world by nominal GDP. It is also 3rd largest by Purchasing Power Parity (PPP). India is one of the G-20 major economies and is one of the fastest emerging and developing nation. India is also world’s fastest growing IT super power. India is the 19th largest exporter and the 10th largest importer in the world. The major export goods are : petroleum products, precious stones, machinery, iron and steel, chemicals, vehicles and apparel. The major import goods are : plastics, fertilizers, timber, natural gas, electricity and aluminum India ranks 2nd worldwide in agriculture output and 12th in terms of industrial output.
