  4. APPOINTMENT SYSTEM • We offer same day urgent appointments for every weekday. Please ring 01792481456 between 8 to 10 am. • You can pre-book up to 4 weeks ahead. Please ring 01792481456 , press 3 to speak to a receptionist. • We offer late evening appointments from 18:30 to 19:50 on Monday evenings. These appointments are to accommodate patients who work and unable to attend during the day time

OUT OF HOUR SERVICES Patients needing to contact a GP between 6.30pm and 8am Monday to Friday, at weekends and bank holidays, can ring 0330 123 9180 Patients may be offered advice or an appointment at the centre at Morriston Hospital or a home visit will be arranged if it is considered necessary.

RESULTS & HOSPITAL OUTPATIENT APPOINTMENTS Patients are required to take responsibility to enquire the results of any investigation Please ring surgery or book an appointment for the following investigations organised by the practice • 1 week after blood, urine, stool and swab results • 2 weeks after X rays, scans If you are waiting for a hospital appointment and have any queries please speak to a receptionist If your condition has changed or have any concerns, please book an appointment to discuss with the doctor

DON’T BE A DNA (DID NOT ATTEND) • If you cannot keep your appointment, please ring surgery well in advanced so that the appointment can be given to other patients. • Please remember that every appointment that was not attended wasted the chance of other patients being seen. • A reminder letter will be sent after two DNAs and after 3 DNAs , a reminder letter regarding de-registeration will be sent for abusing NHS resources.

  25. Dr Gokul Patel Dr Patel qualified in Cardiff in 1979. He has served the East Swansea Community since 1984 when he took over from Dr Markus in St Thomas. He works full time, and he has special interests in arthritis, rheumatism, diabetes, and sports medicine.

  26. Dr Sandar Hlaing DrHlaing has worked as a GP in Wales since 2005. She is available for consultations daily, as she works full time. She has special experience and interests in “Elderly Care Medicine, Family Planning and Acupuncture”.

  27. Dr Samaiya qualified as a GP in 2009 and since been working as a GP in Wales. He joined the practice in April 2013 and is available part time, two days per week. His medical interests include management of COPD, Asthma and Diabetes. Dr Sapan Samaiya

  28. . Dr Kannan graduated in 2005 and finished her GP training in 2013. She works two days a week. Her special interests are Family planning, Gynaecology and Minor surgery Dr Bhargavi Kannan

  42. REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONSWe ask for 2 working days noticeto prepare your authorized prescription items. You may order the items up to a week early. Please note the date of review of your medication, on right hand part of your prescription and make an appointment for review with the doctor or nurse

  46. We are a teaching practice. We inform patients beforehand when students are present. Please let the doctor, nurse or receptionist know if you prefer to be seen without a student present.

  47. Directions • You can find us in the new SA1 development in waterfront & docklands area, entrance to the area is off Fabian’s way, signposted sa1 development, turn right at the roundabout, and right again into Pudsley road.

  48. Parking • There is a sign indicating free parking on the surgery site. There is also a parking site opposite the surgery. • You are allowed 90 minutes free parking please take a token at the barrier.
