Position Opening Page 1 Job Classification: Mobile Equipment Operator I Opening Date: June 18, 2014Location: Dobson/Higley– plant sites may vary Closing Date: June 28, 2014 Wage: $13.73+/hr (doe) Primary Job Function: Mobile equipment operators are responsible the safe operation of various heavy equipment vehicles. The mobile equipment operator I should be proficient in at least one of the following; loader, water pull, bull dozer, forklift, gannon tractor, water truck and willing to train on additional pieces of equipment. Qualified individual must be able to operate mobile equipment in compliance with company policies and procedures, standard practices and safety regulations. Essential Requirements: Wear all required safety equipment including but not limited to hardhats, safety glasses, safety harness, ear plugs, dust masks and gloves. Capable of handling constant conditions associated with riding in a loader. Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time. Capable of doing repetitious arm, hand and leg motion. Regular and predictable attendance on the job. Lift up to 80lbs safely. Able to perform shoveling Must be able to work in inclement weather, including summer weather. Must be able to work various schedules/shifts including overtime, holidays, call outs and weekends as needed. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: One to two years experience in the operation of mobile equipment in aggregate mining or similar industry Skilled in the operation of one of the following pieces of equipment; loader, water pull, bull dozer, forklift, gannon tractor, water truck and able to train on equipment Ability to build stockpiles, load trucks accurately and work in all site areas. Know the function of mobile equipment instruments and observe instruments for warning of any malfunctions or unsafe operating conditions and report Possess steel toed shoes. Ability to read, write and communicate clearly for documentation and customer relations. Duties and Responsibilities: Know and follow all company safety procedures and policies with or without supervision. Follow company policies and procedures. Complete pre and post trip inspection sheets daily Start up and shut down equipment in proper sequence per safety instructions Maintain daily operating reports as required Understand and follow daily production and safety reports Communicate clearly and professionally with all customers, vendors, truck drivers, co-workers, supervisors. Clean equipment as required Maintain a harmonious, positive, professional and cooperative attitude toward all customers, truckers, vendors and co-workers Satisfactorily complete the training requirements to further their abilities in this position according to company policies. Perform other assigned work incidental to this classification.
