  2. Find Out of Production Firearms and Discontinued Models at GunBroker.com Find older production firearms or models of firearms that have been discontinued can be tough. While you can check local pawn shops and gun stores, you are likely limited by your geographic location. That is where GunBroker.com comes in. With listings for sale and auction going up around the clock from users, it is one of the biggest firearms marketplaces on the internet. Here are some of the firearms you might find listed. SIG P220 There is only one line of the venerable SIG P220 left in production: the Legion. If you are looking for a fresh-from-the-factory DA/SA P220 or a Browning BDA, the name under which the P220 was originally imported, you will have to look on the secondary market, such as GunBroker.com. You can also find used versions of the P220 and parts and accessories such as magazines. STI DVC O 38 Super Staccato, formerly known as STI Guns, still makes a line of competition-ready 2011s. However, it is now much harder to find the old lines and models, such as the DVC O 38 Super. A 9mm Major or 38 Super 2011, this model offered a significantly lighter slide for better cycling as well as a better compensator than its predecessors. It also featured a new design for the hammer and sear for a crisper trigger with a shorter reset. With the change in the company name, the old lines were rebranded or dropped altogether.

  3. Remington R1 Enhanced It is easy to find a Kimber or Taurus 1911 with plenty of upgrades such as skeletonized triggers and hammers from the factory, but the Remington R1 Enhanced is no longer in production. Remington, which has split into two different companies making ammo and guns, has also gone through recent bankruptcy claims. Combined, this led to a changeup at the company, and R1 Enhanced was a casualty. However, you might still find them on GunBroker.com. Remington 700 Titanium Lightweight The Remington 700 is still a popular bolt-action rifle, but the lightweight Titanium, one of the first of its kind, was also made of carbon fiber and Kevlar to keep weight down. The major problem was the price, which was double the standard version. Multiple chamberings can often be found on GunBroker.com. Browning Superposed The last long gun designed by John Browning, the Superposed, was an over/under shotgun that was classy and elegant. Originally made with one trigger by FN, the Superposed has been offered in numerous grades, models, and gauges, such as the Diana model, which often is listed for more than $20,000. It was built like a tank and extremely reliable and durable. The Citori line replaced it in the 1970s. It is still available from the Browning International Custom Shop factory, if you can afford it, and have a few years to wait for delivery. Otherwise, check GunBroker.com for listings.
