Agenda Objective: The purpose of this investigation is to use and understand all of your available data resources within the APR to help the OME judge determine whether or not the alleged offender (aka grantee) should be sentenced to an improvement plan for not making substantial progress.
Pre-Investigation: Pop Quiz You’ve just arrived on the data scene and it is clear you need your resources to solve this investigation. You heard there may have been some discrepancies in your sources, but you don’t know how many at this point, but you must find out soon. You must take your initial assessment of the scene in order to find out what you don’t know and how to use what you do know to solve this case. How is the APR Organized? • GPRA 1 Measure & Calculation • CAMP National Target is 86% of the no. served • How would you know if your project met the national target or not? • Two alternatives to calculate GPRA 1 measure dependent upon if the project over-served or not • Option a is for grantees who actually SERVE LESS than the number funded to be served or SERVE EXACLY the total number funded to be served • Option b is for grantees who actually serve MORE than the number funded to be served

Solve the DSI Case • DSI Case #1 Project X is accused of not having made substantial progress in the 2010-2011 budget year. It is your job to find & record the clues in their APR and determine if that is true or not. • Use your data sources to solve the case, i.e., determine a resolution, and recommend a sentence to the OME judge. • DSI Case #2 Project Y is accused of not having made substantial progress in the 2010-2011 budget year. It is your job to find & record the clues in their APR and determine if that is true or not. • Use your data sources to solve the case, i.e., determine a resolution, and recommend a sentence to the OME judge.
