  3. The Chiapas were upset because the government had made changes in the land ownership laws. The constitution used to grant land to people, no matter how poor they were. Now this right has been taken away. How did the treatment of the Chiapas lead to this revolt in 1994?

  4. Poor Mexican farmers did NOT like NAFTA because cheap corn and other food products from the U.S. began to flood into Mexico… forcing down the amount they could charge for their crops. What changes did the Zapatistas want?
