THE RESULTS Finnish En Route delays, better than European average at relatively low cost
WHAT NEXT-CASE ACC • 2009 Finavia made a decision to close Rovaniemi ACC • 2010 all en route services were provided from Tampere • 2013 Finavia started negotiations with personnel to relocate ACC to Helsinki-Vantaa airport. Expected savings per year 2 M€ • After long and exhausted negotiations, including 2,5 month partial strike, ATCO union accepted Finavia’s decision to move ACC functions to Vantaa gradually. Final decision of Tampere ACC 2018 • Finavia was prepared to response to the pressure from the ATCO union with ATCOs having employer agreement
