1. “Dynamic Korea.” Firstly, I was so delighted at the moment when I started this project. it was fascinating work for me, because this is a chance to introduce my country's beautiful culture to all over the world. In my opinion, the “Global Innovation” seems to be starting from their own culture. because we live in the world where it can be seriously hard to attain global innovation without certain identity. In fact, the culture of my country has been not as much appreciated as other Asia culture, like China or Japan That’s why, I choose this two icons of my country’s culture, a native Alphabet “Hangul" of the Korean language and traditional music "Samulnori" ,which can emphasize the uniqueness of my country. first, Hangul is an Alphabet of korean language and the only letters which has discovered creation process in the world. And numerous linguists have regarded as a one of the valuable letters, but this isn't widely well-known to world ,yet. secondly, "Samulnori" is a traditional concession band music which symbol of my country’s spirit image, strong accented rhythms , acrobatic body movements, and an energetic power. So, I painted a combination picture of two aspects, the curve line of Hangul and the movement of Samulnori, so that those are maximize and harmonized. The shape of Hangul is a quite structural , so places the curved-pont-letters freely, and simplify the people’s various movement of Samulnori ,and then over-laped those two. And using a korea paper “Hangi” which is was used in old days and a oriental paint, and ink. In addition using a my country’s symbolic colour ,red and blue, and added activity yellow colour. so that clearly represent a Dynamic image. And I wish to called this “Dynamic Korea” And there are reason for I choose this two cultures, because they are the most independent creation and also related each other. Hangul was created under the plan that the king of Josen dynasty(which is the most brilliant era in my country history) who wanted to make his every citizen could read, so that they could change the world together. That purpose can be seen in "Hunmingeongeum" ,which is the original name of Hangul, means "The sound teach people", The king created “a feature designed letters” by develop the shapes of the letters are related to the features of mouth when it pronounced ,and some were from vertical (l) ,horizontal lines (ㅡ) and a point (. ) which represents the upright Human, the flat Earth, and the Sun in the heavens. but announcement of Hangul was struggled by the opposition, the literary elite aristocrats “Yangban”, who saw Hangul as a threat to their status. It was a “Samulnori”, that the king used for disseminating Hangul. “Samulnori (”Samul“ means four objects and ”nori“ means play)”is a traditional music performing of commoner’s culture ,making a sound with four korean traditional percussion instruments. It was performed in rice farming villages to celebrate for good harvests make And generally it performed at outdoors and popular in common people. also, People was singing a song with Samulnori sound. So the king utilized it to spread Hangul for his people by made a song about Hangul pronunciation in order. Now Hangul described as “a purely innovative creation” by linguists and Samulnori is also extensively used in the Korea musical “Nanta” which is has been successfully performing in all over the world. After Korea war, my country has been through many difficulties and achieved a great development technologically and economically. but I think now we need to stand at the turning-point toward for next level of beyond development by developing our culture part. still there are a various and numerous valuable culture which is haven’t introduced yet.
