Patterns of conflict, coalition alignments, and “triggering” events • At any given time, what fissures of conflict (or discernable factions) are observable in the organization? • What explains the current alignment of coalitions (that is, temporary “unholy alliances?”) Have past events triggered realignments? • To what extent is organization leadership capable of dealing with conflict?
