Customer Installation Guide - Deloyal’s FTP Client Software Feb 2008 Introduction • WHAT IS FTP? • FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a known effective and organized way of transferring files over the internet directly • from one computer to another (direct connection). It reduces or eliminates the need to copy files on disk for delivery • thus saving time and money. • WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF FTP OVER CONVENTIONAL EMAIL? • Most email services limit the size of messages you can send and do not support sending of file folders. Also, the • person receiving the message will likely have a size limit to their mailbox. If your files are too large, they will not go • through. FTP transfers allow direct connection to our FTP server. Therefore, much larger files can be • transferred. The FTP server can hold as much data as the hard disk permits. • HOW DO YOU SETUP FTP? • The whole setup process is fairly simple. There are only 2 steps as follows, • a) Install FTP client software on you desktop PC or notebook • b) Enter information (eg. website, user, password & etc.) as provided by Deloyal Digital Imaging S/B) • The step-by-step instructions are provided on the following page. • GENERAL OPERATION GUIDELINES FOR CUSTOMERS • a) Please organize all the files to be sent in folders with proper naming prior to sending • b) Please notify us via email (deloyal@royale.com.my) or call us at +607-352 2829 • after file sending with company name, folder name(s) and instructions if any

  2. 1) How To Install FTP Client Software • Please click on the following website to download the software • http://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client • You will see the following screen. Select and click ” FileZilla_3.0.5.2_win32-setup.exe(recommended) “ • Select & click “Run” • NOTE: If the following screen doesn’t appear next, do the following, • a) Look for the phrase “this direct link” and click on it • b) Click “Close” if the sourceforge.net marketplace screen appears • Wait for a short while, you will then be directed to the following screen

  3. d) Downloading process will begin as follows ……………………… e) Select & click “Run”

  4. f) Select & click “I Agree” g) Select the first option & click “Next”

  5. Check (click) the “Desktop Icon” & click “Next” i) Click “Next”

  6. j) Click “Install” k) Click “Finish” to complete installation

  7. 2) How To Setup FTP Client Software • Go to your desktop and start “Filezilla Client” by double clicking the icon • You will see the following screen. Directory and Files On Your Computer To start configuration, select and click on the icon on top left (blue arrow) b) The following screen will appear. Select & click “New Site”

  8. c) The following screen will appear, 2 3 deloyal.dyndns.biz 2121 4 1 5 Normal User & Password • Rename The “New Site” To “Deloyal” • Under “Host”, enter “deloyal.dyndns.biz” • Under “Port”, enter the value “2121” • Under “Logontype”, click on the right arrow and select “Normal” • Key in the username and password given by Deloyal • For example, if the user given is studio123 and password is newyear, then • user: studio123 • password: newyear (note that passwords are case sensitive) d) Select the “transfer settings” tab as shown below, click to select “passive”. 1 2 3 Click “Ok”. You have now completed the setting and ready to do file transfer!

  9. 3) How To Connect To Deloyal’s FTP Server & Transfer Files a) Click on the small arrow next to the top left icon. Select and click “Deloyal” to establish connection. Once connection is established, you will see the directories and files appearing on the right hand side as shown under the red box. DOWNLOAD - Transfer Files From Deloyal’s FTP Server To Your Computer (You can either drag/drop or copy/paste directory or files) 1 Your directory and files on Deloyal’s FTP Server Your directory and files on your local computer UPLOAD - Transfer Files From Your Computer To Deloyal’s FTP Server (You can either drag/drop or copy/paste directory or files) NOTE: Please note that the server will automatically be disconnected if there is no activity after a period of time. Kindly refer to the diagram below to reconnect or disconnect server. To reconnect to or disconnect from server
