    2. Common things are common Rashes DERMATITIS ITCHING Remember ICE- patients ideas, concerns and expectations are as important in Dermatology ? MENNINGITIS- this is always a concern with children who gets the slightest mark on them SENILE PRURITIS- really common in elderly- moisturise thoroughly and regularly.

    4. UNDER- TREATMENT is the main problem for eczema STEROIDS ARE SAFE- should be used- reassure patients. EMOLLIENTS- tonnes of it. Find the most suitable by trying different brands. SOAP SUBSTTIUTES not soap or bubble bath BATH OILS- essential .a good oily soak. Slippage problem 0especially in the elderly. ALLERGY TESTING- pretty useless unless specific concern or unusual patches- eg: dorsum of hand. FOOD ALLERGY- maybe in children- need dietician if excluding lots of essential foods.

    5. Encourage taking responsibility for own problem. Take control- better outcome.
