We consider sustainability as a future growth driver.

Yunus Green Office Initiative • YTML enrolled with WWF for Green Office Initiative in June 2013, as a part of our CSR strategy. • YTML has become the first textile organization in Pakistan to receive the WWF “Green Office Award” in recognition of its environmental sustainable practices. • To be recognized as a WWF Green Office, Yunus Textile Mills has worked out and implemented a host of measures that includes: • To reduce the generation of paper waste within working activities • Air conditioning through hot water absorption chiller • Replacement of CRT monitors with LCD and LED in work stations

Reduction of Paper Consumption Paper consumption reduced by 26.58% compared to 2013 • Electronic data management system for supply, process, procurement, finance, HR and planning. • Reminding co-worker about the usage of paper. • Creating electronic archive • Internal emailing system for e-forms and information sharing. • Using both faces of paper as default setting on copier and printer. • Maintaining a log at copier machines. • Segregated waste for recycling or reuse. Per capita paper consumption reduced to 0.26 from 0.35

Eco Friendly Air-conditioning System • Absorption chillers differ from the more widespread compression chillers. • The cooling effect in them is driven by heat energy, rather than mechanical energy. • 65% energy and emission savings • An emission savings of 1557.35 tCO2e-per year • By using hot water absorption chiller, 0.75 million m3/year natural gas has been saved

Energy Saving System • Using energy efficient settings on our computers, monitors, printers, and copying machines • Replacing Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) monitors with LCD and LED • Using centralized and shared appliances and equipment such as printers, scanners, copiers, and refrigerators • Reminding the staff about resource saving through awareness campaigns. Per capita waste reduced by 2.06% from office facility
