  3. Purpose To brief the Standing Committee on Local Government on the first quarter performance of the Department.

  4. Introduction Performance of the Department during first quarter can be summarised as follow: A total of 74 indicators to report on for the year. 8 are admin related and 64 being line function. 14 are sector performance indicators (SPI)- determined at national level. 18 indicators were due for reporting in the first quarter. Others will be reported on over the next 3 quarters. All 18 (100%) indicators due for reporting in the first quarter were achieved.
