  3. Basic Concepts of Dispute Resolution Mechanism • rapid & cost efficient process • if ruling by provider isn’t satisfactory,court action is optional but final • Guidelines are constructed & followed according to ICANN UDRP

Dispute Resolution Time Table • Set up domain name dispute resolution task force on 9/27/2000 • Announce the “dispute resolution policy” & “rule of procedure” on 01/16/2001 • Construct the criteria of dispute resolution service providers at the end of January 2001 • Dispute resolution service provider will begin service in march 2001
