Communal Pre-paid Meter Tip Sheet DO NOT: • Do not try and put coins in the meter as it does not accept any money. • Do not put token and leave the water running, as it is wasting your credit, which will not be refunded. • Do not put screwdriver instead of token, as it will not work. • Do not try and open the meter as it requires a special key and if you tamper with the meter the water will stop. • Do not draw water in a cup or bowl, always use a 20 liter jerry can to draw water into. • Do not tamper with token as you will waste your credit. DO: • Do report to NAWASSCO office if you find the meter not giving water when you insert token • Do use 20 liter jerry can to draw water to avoid spillage. • Do remove your token to stop water before the jerry can is full.
