Energy Efficiency Programs • Pacific Power has 2 energy efficiency programs in California to help commercial, industrial, and agricultural customers save money and energy. • FinAnswer Express • Energy FinAnswer • FinAnswer Express program improved for customers effective January 1, 2010
Energy FinAnswer • Energy analysis services • Initial Site Visit Report • In-depth Energy Analysis Report (pre-purchase/installation) • Post-Installation Inspection • Both new construction & retrofit eligible • Custom calculations of energy efficiency measures, including complex systems such as compressed air and process cooling that require detailed engineering to quantify savings • Commissioning requirement • Incentive of $0.12/kWh + $50/kW • Incentive caps may apply • Sign incentive agreement before you sign purchase orders
FinAnswer Express • Commercial & Industrial customers eligible • Rate Schedules: A-25, A-32, A-33, A-36, AT-47, AT-48, AWH-31, LS-53, LS-58, OL-42, PA-20, PA-40 • Program offers incentives for retrofit & new construction – when to apply • Lighting Projects – pre-purchase approval recommended, but not required • Mechanical & Other – apply post-purchase, attach copies of invoices • Custom incentives – Pre-purchase, Must sign an incentive agreement before signing purchase orders
Program Improvements for 2010 • Incentives increased for many lighting measures • Incentive cap for Retrofit lighting projects increased to 60% of project costs • Motors • Incentives available for NEMA Premium Motors up to 500 hp until Dec. 19, 2010 • Incentives now available for Green Motor Rewinds • Tiered incentives now offered for Unitary AC/HP depending on efficiency ($50, $75 and $100/ton) • New Program Measures added: Compressed Air, Food Service, more Irrigation measures, Envelope, Farm & Dairy, and Appliances and more!
FinAnswer ExpressRetrofit Lighting • Eligible equipment & expanded incentives effective Jan. 1, 2010: • T8 fluorescent fixtures – standard & “premium” • Compact fluorescent lamps (CFL) hard wire fixtures • T5 & T5HO fluorescent fixtures • High intensity discharge (HID) options • Exit signs • Lighting controls • LED lighting – new guidelines • Incentives up to 60% of total project cost for lighting retrofits
FinAnswer Express New Construction Lighting • New construction and major renovation projects have the same process • Baseline = CA Title 24 lighting power density (LPD) • Projects must be at least 10% lower than Title 24 LPD • Eligible equipment & incentives effective Jan. 1, 2010 • Premium T8 fluorescent fixtures • Fluorescent T5 or T5HO fixtures • Ceramic metal halide • LEDs • Lighting Controls • LED message center and channel letter signs
FinAnswer Express Lighting Application Process • Participation process: • Support provided to approved EEA participants • Applicant review process • In California, pre-purchase approval is recommended, but not required. Contact the EEA coordinator for pre-purchase approval. • Post – purchase Application Process • Complete application after purchase and installation • Lighting Calculator software • Post installation inspection required • Project closeout, review, and payment processing

FinAnswer Express Compressed Air • Post-purchase Incentives now available for customers with single-compressor systems < 75 hp in California: • New VFD-Controlled Compressors (< 75 hp) • Low-Pressure Drop Filters • Receiver Capacity Addition • Refrigerated Cycling Dryers • Zero-Loss Condensate Drains • Outside Air Intake
FinAnswer Express Irrigation • 12 Post-purchase Irrigation measures now available for qualifying customers in California: • Hand Line and Wheel Line Measures Include: • Cut and pipe press repair of leaking pipe connections • Rotating spray heads • Drains and gaskets • Standard and flow control nozzles • Wheel line hubs on Thunderbird wheel lines • Brass impact sprinklers • Wheel-line levelers and feed hose • Center Pivot Measures Include: • Low pressure pivot sprinkler heads • Center pivot base boot gasket • Drains & Nozzles • Sprinkler pressure regulators

Program Marketing Guidelines • EEA participants can use FinAnswer Express in business marketing • Must have completed at least one project • Shall not use Pacific Power logo • Can use pre-approved language without review • All other language must be reviewed and approved by Pacific Power • Complete the Marketing Guidelines form and return to your EEA Coordinator • Be as detailed as possible • Minimum of 10 days
