Advantages • Reduced thermal load on the engine coolant system • 4 times the amount of contact surface area for both oil and air over stock • Eliminates the possibility of intermixing coolant and ATF as with previous design • Easier installation with the removal of cooling lines
Thermal Analysis • Thermal loading shown under natural convection
Testing • *Thermal bench testing has shown the cooler to operate between 175-188F without air flow. *Testing was conducted at 74F with a completely rebuilt transmission running fully synthetic ATF at full load in 3rd gear for 40 min.
