  4. NPA in Supply Chain Operations:Initial Take Up • Rather a slow start • Variety of centres • Variety of learners • Primarily central belt of Scotland • No FE colleges

  5. Supply Chain Operations:Possible Reasons for Initial Take Up • MA ‘get out of jail’ • Major FE College re-organisation • Curriculum for Excellence (CfE) developments • General economic situation/downturn

  7. NPA in Supply Chain Operations:1st year feedback - Positives • Centres are moving forward • Learning materials are being developed • Delivery is being tailored to the needs of clients • 1st cohort are nearing completion • Centres are recruiting • In general, quality of delivery is good

  8. NPA in Supply Chain Operations:1st year feedback - Negatives • Learner quality? • Traditional delivery methods? • Difficulty for ‘group’ work • What is the follow on? • Is the e-assessment option being used? • Issue with the ‘driving’ Unit

  9. NPA in Supply Chain Operations:Highlighting Good Practice • Excellent simulation project • Links with industry are growing • Interest is being maintained • Quality materials being developed • ‘Client’ interest is growing • Centres better at matching client to this NPA
