Lee was moved his troops towards the north • He led them to Philadelphia • He told his troops to kill any union troop on the way

  15. How does Civil War end • Ended on April, 18, 1865 • Confederacy surrender, approximately 617,000 American’s died that is as most death as all the other wars combined • The southern landscape was devastated • General Lee met at the Appomattox court house and signed the surrender papers
