  1. ¡HOLA! This is a short presentation of the Swedish history and the town Flen, where we live. Welcome!

  3. 8000 b.c 7000 b.c 6500 b.c 4500 b.c As youprobablyknow, Sweden wascoverdwith ice.

  4. This is Samer. Samer is Sweden’snativepeople, they live in northern Sweden.

  5. VIKINGS Between 700 A.C and 1100 A.C the people in Sweden were Vikings. The Vikings were a hunting people who traveled around northen Europe and looted and traded goods.

  6. This is Thor, the god of thunder and war.

  7. Paganism This is Valhalla. It’sthe placewhere Vikings came to whentheydied.

  8. In Valhalla everybody ate a lot of food and fought. Legend says a pig resurrectedevery day and everybody ate of that pig every night. This is inside Valhalla

  9. Ansgar, and the first Christians in Sweden.

  10. In the end of 15th century the firstbookswereprinted in Sweden, it wasabout the same time Christoffer Columbus wenton hisfirstdiscoverytrip.

  11. Gustav Vasa King Gustav Vasa united the church and state in the 1600 century. But in 2000 the church and the state split and the church became independent.

  12. In 1700th century Sweden was in a bigwar in Europe. Gustav ll Adolf (The Swidishking) buildt a bigwarshipcalled ’’Regalship Vasa’’ butit sank when it left the harbour.

  13. This is Europe 1648, after the ”Peace of Westphalia”.

  14. The Swedish boarders. How it has changed from 1560 to 1660.

  15. And 1679 to 1905. Since 1809 Swedish boarder hasn’t changed, the year we made peace with Russia.

Sweden during the 19001905: Sweden and Norway split Into theirowncountries.1914: 30.000 peasantswentthrough Stockholm to the Royal Family, where Uno Nyberg, whowas a farmer, would make a speech for the king. Hesaid that all farmers were at the king'sside, and theywanted that the country’sdefense to be strengthened. 1915: Whilethe first World Warwas going on in the rest of the world, Sweden and the other Nordic countriesremainedoutside the war.

  17. 1917: Sweden wereaffected by the waranywaybecause it becamemoredifficult to export and import food, fruit and medicine.1920-1938: The period between the 1st and 2nd World War in Sweden wasup and down. 1920 started an economicdepression in Sweden, manySwedesbecameunemployedquickly.1939: World War 2 started, Sweden helpedGermany by exportingquantities of ironorethere. Sweden became restless when the greatpowers in World War 2 were the countriesclose to Sweden. Sweden didwellduring the war and never mixed into the actual "battle". 1946-2000: After the wars, Sweden got bettereconomy and slowly got more and morework. Also all the exports and imports workedbetter.
