  1. (6) Seating Framework • (a) Test fit framework on duplicate master cast • 1 Use duplicate master cast for initial seating • 2 Inspect natural teeth and tissue side of framework for defects, Remove any imperfections • 3 May need to use a disclosing medium • 4 Framework is seated when all rests are in full contact with their rest seats • 5 Reseat frameworks on master cast (not blocked out), make adjustments as needed

  2. (7) Polishing • (b) Polishing • 1Rubber the casting aUse smooth flowing strokes bUse rubber wheels for large areas such as major connectors c Use rubber points for areas you cannot reach with a rubber wheel

  3. (7) Polishing • (b) Polishing d Use rubber points for approach arms, clasps, lingual plating, and rests e Do not rubber tissue bearing surfaces of castings or the tooth side of rests f If scratches are found at this point go back to rough finishing

  4. (7) Polishing • (c) Final polish • 1 Low-shine compound • a Soft bristle brush on high speed lathe • b Clean casting in ultrasonic cleaner • 2 Hi-shine compound • a Soft bristle brush on high speed lathe

  5. (7) Polishing • Clean casting in ultrasonic cleaner • Reseat frameworks on master cast (not blocked out), make adjustments as needed
